The VT90 radar power triode was designed for 600 MHz (50 cm) operation in pulse mode. The maximum frequency for full power operation was 300 MHz.
The VT90 was the original 'micropup' from M-OV that made airborne Radar a practical proposition.
The CV15 is a smaller version of the VT90 with conduction cooling.
The filament is a tight helix. The bright annular disc is the end cap of the grid cage.
The grid connection and the only grid support. The grid is in the form of a series of wires passing between the two end caps.
The twisted strands of the filament have had their end connectors removed.
The thin glass tube envelope is 18 mm in diameter and, including the base pins, is 128 mm long.
