The VR57 is an octode frequency changer or mixer that dates to 1940. The VR designation indicates a pre WWII RAF use. The manufacturer is not marked and the zinc paint is breaking away from the glass.
There are no details on the reverse.
The classic envelope is 30 mm in diameter and, excluding the IO base pins, is 84 mm tall.
