E2218

Extras ▼

The E2218 is an experimental or development sample triode pentode from M-OV. The label shows the heater to be rated at 13 Volts and thus designed for series heater chains in radar or more likely television receivers.
The other lettering looks to suggest an anode voltage of 100 Volts.
The base shows connections for the triode and pentode. The heather connections are such that the sections must be wired in series with a cross connection at the top.
Another example.
As the label does not wrap fully round the glass the two sections can be seen.
The pentode anode has the Type written on it. Both inner pentode grids are wound on copper supports.
The thin glass tube envelope is 20 mm in diameter, and excluding the B9A base pins is 47 mm tall.
Reference: Observation.
