The 6BA7 is a heptode mixer known in the USA as a Pentagrid converter. The attached data-sheet dates from 1948 and gives initial characteristics.
We also have the 12BA7 that differs only in heater rating.
The RCA branding. The screen can be seen below the bottom mica disc.
Through the side of the anode can be seen the many wires of the internal grids.
The thin glass tube envelope is 20 mm in diameter, and excluding the B9A base pins is 58 mm tall.
