The 7247 is a double triode with dissimilar sections. Section one is for low level voltage amplification and is similar to the 7025 and ECC83. The second section is designed for cathode follower or phase splitter service and the characteristics are close to those of the ECC82.
The design application is hi-fi audio amplification.
The two sections. Note the made in Britain in white with the overprinted red identification.
Visually the two sections look the same.
The thin glass tube envelope is 20 mm in diameter and, excluding the B9A base pins, is 48 mm tall.
Reference: Data-sheet. Type 7247 was first introduced in 1963. See also 1963 adverts.
