The 6AR5 is a miniature all glass audio output pentode on a B7G base. The load impedance required is 7 kΩ and an output of 3.4 Watts is quoted.
As the 6V6G was miniaturised down to the 6BW6 so the 6AR5 looks to be the Type 41 and 6K6GT also miniaturised.
The control grid supports with significant sized heat radiator fin.
The wire grids can be glimpsed indicating a true pentode.
The thin glass tube envelope is 18 mm in diameter and, excluding the B7G base pins, is 58 mm tall.
References: Data-sheet. Type 6AR5 was first introduced in 1948. See also 1948 adverts.
