This is an all-glass heptode mixer with an acorn style construction. The control grid is taken to the top cap and g2, acting as the oscillator anode is a pair of plain vertical rods.
The heater is a double helix wound on a mandrel.
The eight pin base with flattened pin ends. The valve holder may have been of the insert and twist variety. This would lessen the force on the glass to metal seals.
Inside the bright anode are the wire grids. The electrodes are held in place by the two mica discs. These discs are quite thick and it is possible that this was made for use in areas of vibration - aircraft perhaps.
The thin glass tube envelope is 19 mm in diameter and, including the base pins, is 50 mm tall.
Reference: Observation.
