The PCC89 is a high gain, Band III VHF, frame grid double triode for the front-end of domestic television receivers.
The effective working area of the anode is confined to the depressed section. The rest of the anode is concerned with heat removal and dissipation.
The thin glass tube envelope is 20 mm in diameter, and excluding the B9A base pins, is 47 mm tall.
