The 6BZ6 is a semi-remote cut off pentode (Variable μ) for use in television receivers within the IF strip. Thus it was designed to provide wideband amplification at 30 - 40 MHz.
This exhibit is from Pinnacle and is labeled as Foreign.
The construction is obscured by the band of coating inside the envelope. Like the EF91 this band is designed to prevent electrons that hit the glass from releasing gas that would limit the life of the valve.
The thin glass tube envelope is 18 mm in diameter, and excluding the B7G base pins is 48 mm tall.
Reference: Data-sheet. Type 6BZ6 was first introduced in 1955. See also 1955 adverts.
