The 311SU is a half wave rectifier designed for universal domestic equipment.

The anode connects to the vertical rod seen on the right.

The anode is formed in an X shape to offer the maximum surface area for cooling.

The thin glass tube envelope is 20 mm in diameter, and excluding the B8A base pins is 59 mm tall.
