The EA961 is a specialist probe diode. The use is for frequencies up to UHF.
Clearly a German made valve.
The cathode is coated only at the tip and the anode comes down from the top. Just two small closed cylinders almost touching.
The three pins of the B7G base.
The anode, top cap and mica separators.
The thin glass tube envelope is 18 mm in diameter, and excluding the B7G base pins is 23 mm tall.
