The 6S45PE is the translation for this Russian valve. It is a rugged triode designed for wideband amplification. The distributed cathode connection indicates a high frequency design application. The anode dissipation is 7.8 Watts. A low noise figure was obtained in these valves by operating at high current.
The construction is a central cathode with a frame grid around it. The grid wires are very thin and close spaced. The initial mutual conductance is quoted as 45 - very high. The anode is formed by two flat faced U channels either side of the cathode. The special quality or rugged construction can be seen in the use of double mica sheets top and bottom.
Even here the grid wires are too small to resolve.
The thin glass tube envelope is 22 mm in diameter, and excluding the B9A base pins is 47 mm tall.
