The 2C36 is a disc seal planar triode for operation at up to 1.75 GHz at full rating and 5 GHz at reduced ratings.
The data-sheet gives the design purpose as a UHF power oscillator with an output power of up to 20 Watts in pulsed operation
From left to righ the connections are: anode, control grid, heater cathode and heater. The pins in the valve look like the feedback mechanism referred to in the data-sheet.
The anode extends down almost to the centre ring.
The glass distorts the grid wires but the form can be seen at the left edge.
The thin glass tube envelope is 15 mm in diameter, and including the base pins is 56 mm tall.
