The M8090 / CV4048 is a special quality voltage reference tube. It is designed to operate at 6.0 mA and not to be used to directly supply equipment. Typical use would be the reference in a stabilised power supply.

The reverse of the envelope carries the CV designation.

The thin glass tube envelope is 18 mm in diameter, and excluding the B7G base pins is 45 mm tall.
