The 2-01C is a miniature UHF diode with a useful range up to 3 GHz. As a measuring diode the characterists remain within ±1dB up to 700 MHz.

In use it would be fitted into a probe in much the same way as the EA52 and EA53.

The inner evacuation tube forms one heater connection and the outer ring is the cathode and other heater connection.

The thin glass tube envelope is 13 mm in diameter, and overall is 45 mm tall.
