The 19H5 is an indirectly heated high-vacuum rectifier with the cathode connected to one side of the heater.
This exhibit has been made by STC and the logo is typical. 19H5 is of later manufacture and does not have the distinctive STC logo.
The reverse of the envelope carries the CV490 identification. The discolouration suggests that this valve has been used. With an anode dissipation of 32 Watts the bulb would get very hot.
The wide glass tube envelope is 57 mm in diameter and, excluding the base pins, is 222 mm tall.
Reference: Data-sheet. Type 19H5 was first introduced in 1954. See also 1954 adverts.
