The Philco 2102 was made in America. It is a directly heated double diode triode with an oxide coated single inverted V filament supported above the top mica by a single spring.
The glass is clear on the side opposite to the mirror formed by firing the getter and the electrodes are visible. The diodes are formed below the triode as cylinders on each arm of the filament.
This close-up shows the filament spring support rod at the top. The anode is much wider than it is thick and the top mica is buttressed by side micas.
The classic envelope is 38 mm in diameter, and excluding the UX6 base pins is 92 mm tall.
Reference: 1043. Type 2102 was first introduced in 1935. See also 1935 adverts.
