This miniature viewfinder tube is a marvel of precision engineering and is capable of displaying a high resolution picture.
The base consists of four wire pins. The gun can be seen through the clear glass of the tube. Four connections allow for a filament, grid and first anode. The tube focus is controlled by an external permanent rings placed over the glass neck.
The tube is magnetically deflected and the coils would fit over the tube neck. The small metal flag just behind screen is the connection to the final anode, the colloidal graphite coating that shows as dark grey from the screen to most of the length of the neck.
The end window screen is 15.30 mm X 13.00 mm. The tube neck is 6.18 mm diameter, and excluding the base pins is 57.18 mm long.
Reference: Observation.
