The 6GB5 is television line output Beam tetrode. The total dissipation is 30 Watts and although the rated anode voltage is given as 275 Volts, in TV service the valve is designed to withstand peak anode voltages of 7,700 Volts.
The valve was made in several different heater variants: 13GB5 13.3 V at 600 mA, 18GB5 18 volts at 450 mA and 27GB5 27 Volts at 300 mA. All these variants were designed for series heater chains.
The Raytheon name and Made in France.
The wide glass tube envelope is 28 mm in diameter and, excluding the B9D base pins, is 91 mm tall.
Reference: Data-sheet. Type 6GB5 was first introduced in 1948. See also 1948 adverts.
