The 6BD6 is a vari-μ pentode for use as an IF amplifier with gain controlled by an AGC voltage.
The control grid is wound on copper supports.
The top notch in the solid screen reveals the three wire grids.
The thin glass tube envelope is 18 mm in diameter and, excluding the base pins, is 45 mm tall.
