The 32E is a variant of the Type 32 American tetrode and is described as an RF Pentode. The Type 32 was designed as an RF amplifier in battery operated receivers.
The outer cylinder is the screen. Further screens can be seen below the cylindrical screen.
The cylindrical anode is placed just inside the perforated screen. The close wound screen grid winding is easy to see.
The top of the valve. The hooked filament tension spring is holding a single inverted V filament.
The classic envelope is mm in diameter and, excluding the UX4 base pins, is mm tall.
