This exhibit is an experimental valve from Brimar. It has no Type designation. Looking at the structure reveals that it is a beam tetrode. The closest standard valve is the 6BW6 but this has extra fins on the control grid. The wire of the grids is shaped to pass flat across the cathode and the inner grid is wound on copper supports.
The label gives X705V and serial number 39.
A limited view of the electrodes is possible. The beam forming plates appear as vertical struts.
The thin glass tube envelope is 21 mm in diameter, and excluding the B9A base pins is 59 mm tall.
Reference: Observation. Type 6BW6 was first introduced in 1950. See also 1950 adverts.
