This DK96 exhibit is from Mazda and the envelope is labelled as foreign made.
From the early 1960s battery valve radios lost out to the imported transistor radio and one way to compete was to produce components in cheaper locations.
The DK96 dry battery frequency changer is from the later range of very low filament consumption valves.
The thin glass tube envelope is 18 mm in diameter and, excluding the B7G base pins, is 47 mm tall.
