The LN152 is a triode, output pentode. The heater at 6.3 Volts and 300 mA makes this valve suitable for equipment with mains transformers and heater chains across the domestic mains.
These valves were designed for frame generator service in 405 line televisions but also found service as audio amplifiers especially in record players.
The LN152 is a low power device with an audio output of 1 Watt. The load impedance is 11,000 Ohms. With the triode feeding the pentode a compact, and cheap, single end audio stage can be produced for low cost equipment.
Without the obstruction of the label the two sections can be seen one above the other within the envelope.
See also ECL80.
The thin glass tube envelope has a diameter of 20 mm and a length of 57 mm, excluding the B9A base pins.
