The DL96 is a battery output pentode for use in portable radio receivers. Ever Ready will have contracted one of the major manufacturers to produce the valve. By the 1950s Ever Ready were long out of valve manufacture. The Every Ready name was the UK market leader for radio batteries, both HT and LT.
The thin glass tube envelope is 17 mm in diameter and, excluding the B7G base pins, is 48 mm tall.
