The N144 is a small audio output pentode. At the standard 10% distortion the N144 would deliver 1.4 Watts output. Thus made it suitable for domestic equipment. The design was popular and the major manufacturers all made versions of the design.

The thin glass tube envelope is 17 mm in diameter and, excluding the B7G base pins, is 44 mm tall.
