The UEL71 from Lorenz is a tetrode and pentode. The output pentode has an output of 2 Watts. The heater rating is 100 mA for use in series connected circuits.
Made in Germany. The lower portion of the envelope is shielded by the gettering and the low power tetrode must be located there. The pentode is at the top two thirds of the envelope. On the left is the pentode control grid connection that is screened by the bright vertical tray seen on the left.
The pentode grids can be seen through the hole in the end of the anode.
The pentode control grid lead and shield is on the right.
The common cathode, g3 and screens all connect to the base ring and spigot. The locating pip is required as the eight pins are equally spaced around the pin circle.
The wide glass tube envelope is 29 mm in diameter and, excluding the B8B base pins, is 76 mm tall.
