The 5726 is a professional double signal diode. These diodes were designed for vision and sound detection. Additionally they are recommended for limiting and DC restoration.

Looking at the specifications, the 5726 is electrically equal to the EB91 with the exception of the maximum permissible PIV. Higher for the EB91.
Some commercial EB91's are packaged in envelopes some 10 mm taller than this 5726.
