The CV371 is an EHT rectifier, probably for pulse transmitters or high current CRT systems. This rectifier was developed into a reliable rugged type the CV4057.

The minimum effective series resistance needs to be 5,400 Ohms to limit peak current and the maximum reservoir capacitor is limited to1.1 μF

The thin glass tube envelope is 18 mm in diameter and, excluding the B7G base pins, is 48 mm tall.
