The CV2346 is a low power Klystron supplied for use with an external cavity. It was designed for X band between 8 and 10 GHz and the output power was 30 - to 70 mW and therefore suitable for local oscillator use. The VX5028 was the prototype.
The commercial R5222A in the museum is complete with resonant cavity.
The main flange on the thin glass tube envelope is 28 mm in diameter and, excluding the B7G base pins, is 75 mm tall.
