This British made Mullard EY86 is a television EHT rectifier that is rated in terms of peak inverse volts (PIV) and that is quoted at 22,000 Volts.
This is an early EY86 and this is denoted by the un-gettered manufacture,

The anode sits within the cylindrical screen.
The screen and the anode. The cathode tube will be placed centrally within the anode.
The thin glass tube envelope is 20 mm in diameter and excluding the B9A base pins the valve is 66 mm long.
