The U193 is a television efficiency diode for use in line timebase output circuits.
Typically it will have a heater cathode insulation that is good to 6 kV and a peak current capability of 500 mA.
The U193 is similar to the PY800 and PY81.
The side view of the valve shows the anode and the heater top connection.
The stitched anode.
The thin glass tube envelope is 21 mm in diameter and, excluding the B9A base pins, is 69 mm tall.
Reference: Data-sheet. Type U193 was first introduced in 1960. See also 1960 adverts.
