The Hampshire Collection
The CV1226 is the UK Navy type NU13A reclassified into the Common Valve series introduced in about 1941 to harmonise procurement for all UK government departments. In this way costs were reduced and precious stocks could be interchanged if needed. It also made it easier for America to make valves for us.
The wide glass tube envelope is 48 mm in diameter and, excluding the L4 base pins, is 145 mm tall.
The L4 base is 55 mm square.
