The EB11 is a double diode closely related to the EB34 and the EB4. The design use for low capacity diodes in the late 1930s was for both television demodulation and in RADAR systems. Telefunken made valves for the German war effort.
The wide metal tube envelope is 36 mm in diameter, and excluding the Footless base pins is 34 mm tall.
Reference: Data-sheet. Type EB11 was first introduced in 1938. See also 1938 adverts.
