The PCL86 is an audio amplifier valve designed for TV receiver applications. The ECL86 was designed for consumer audio products. The Grundig TK14 tape recorder from 1963 used the ECL86 device. It was a better quality audio output than the ECL82 gave.
The anode load was rated at 5,100 Ohms.
The thin glass tube envelope is 20 mm in diameter and, excluding the B9A base pins, is 69 mm tall.
