The 3D6 is an American battery amplifier pentode. The all glass designs did not emerge until 1938, and this design is probably from 1938-39. We believe that the 3D6 was used in Canadian WS58 wireless sets for portable military communications.
The wide glass tube envelope is 28 mm in diameter and, excluding the B8B (Loctal) base pins, is 54 mm tall.
