The 80S full wave rectifier is similar to the type 80. The ratings are the same but the 80S has an indirectly heated cathode that is internally tied to one side of the heater. The heather can be clearly seen in the picture. The 80 is by contrast directly heated.

The maximum reservoir capacitor is 32 µF and the minimum series resistance must be 30 Ohms.

The classic envelope is 42 mm in diameter and, excluding the UX4 base pins, is 92 mm tall.
