The DF96 is a miniature amplifier pentode with very low filament consumption. This Mullard valve from the 1950s has half of the filament current of its predecessor the DF92. It was specified for use as an IF amplifier in portable radio equipment.
The thin glass tube envelope is 17 mm in diameter and, excluding the B7G base pins, is 47 mm tall.
