The T311 rectifier dates from 1942.

The anode 116 mm long and 38 mm in diameter, is blackened to facilitate radiation cooling, and formed with eight fins for greater surface area. The filament is helical and runs through the length of the anode cavity.

The wide glass tube envelope is 45 mm in diameter and, excluding the base pins, is 376 mm tall.
