HMS Collingwood Museum
The NT1 interesting exhibit. It features a single thread filament, and cylindrical anode. The latter is split along its length and both halves are taken to top pins. This suggests some form of early magetron and we believe that it dates from 1938-9. The far end of the anode is taken to one of the four base pins.
This is not the NT1 first UK Navy transmitting valve.
The wide glass tube envelope is 40 mm in diameter and, excluding the four lock-in base pins, is 210 mm tall.
