The CV85 basket covered glass valve is designated as a trigatron. Within the envelope can be seen the domed spark gap electrodes.
It was used in the H2S radar, and operated as a pulse modulator for the magnetron. It operated at 7 kV, and the pulse delivered to the magnetron was 150 KW.
The balloon envelope is 64 mm in diameter and it stands 144 mm tall.
