The CV2549 is a double diode triode. In radio receivers the audio and AGC detectors could share the same valve cathode as the first audio amplifier, hence the popularity of the multiple valve.
The classic envelope is 36 mm in diameter and, excluding the UX6 base pins, is 98 mm tall.
