HMS Collingwood Museum
This exhibit has lost its identification, but is probably a PL38 or EL38. Visually it can be seen to be a pentode with the anode brought out to the top cap. The substantial anode box and ceramic insulators hint at a high voltage power application, probably as a television line output valve.
The classic envelope is 42 mm in diameter and, excluding the IO base pins, is 103 mm tall.
