The John Lawrence Collection
This CV288 is a magnificent specimen. It probably dates from 1940 and was designed for high power high frequency transmitters.
The external anode construction is clear from the picture. The grid ring is massive and the anode assembly has a tape finned structure, suggesting forced air cooling.
We have no operating details.
The wide glass tube envelope is 88 mm in diameter and, the length is 133 mm.
