The John Lawrence Collection
The VA16 small cold cathode photocell was made by Cinema - Television Ltd in England. We have no operating details and none are visible on the label.
The light is taken in through the side of the glass envelope and illuminates the curved cathode. The anode is a vertical wire at the focus of the cathode.
The wide glass tube envelope is 25 mm in diameter, excluding the B4 base pins, is 56 mm tall.
