The 2C42 planar triode is what the Americans call a lighthouse valve, because the electrodes are stacked vertically. It is a UHF disc seal triode, and visually identical to the 2C46.

The planar envelope is 32 mm in diameter and, excluding the IO base pins is 51 mm tall.
