The CV2272 is a small oscilloscope tube with the final anode brought out to a side terminal. The prototype was the VCRX212.
The final anode function is post deflection accelerator that gives a bright trace while maintaining the deflection plate sensitivity of earlier tubes.
The KB/Z identifies this valve as being made to specification K1001 or K1006, the B denotes qualification by a UK authority and the Z identifies the maker as MO Valve Company, Hammersmith.
The GEC logo and PDA connector close to the screen.

The recessed PDA connector. The connector used would have a flexible insulating skirt fitting tight to the glass.

The end window envelope is 39 mm in diameter, and excluding the B9G base pins is 160 mm tall.
