The 1F3 is a miniature screened pentode for dry battery operation. It was designed for radio reception and is a variable μ RF device.
The Mazda 1F3 Type designation is equivalent to the American 1T4 as both are printed on the glass.
Made in England. The outer screen obscures most details but the filament tension spring and single thread oxide coated filament can be seen.
The thin glass tube envelope is 18 mm in diameter and, excluding the B7G base pins, is 47 mm tall.
References: Data-sheet & 1040 Type 1F3 was first introduced in 1948. See also 1948 adverts.
