The U150 full wave rectifier offers a respectable output current of 90 mA, sufficient for most domestic apparatus.
The maximum reservoir capacitor, a measure of the peak current rating, was 50 μF. The minimum effective series resistance is 300 Ω.
There is no maker's name on this valve but the glass tube and sealing notch between the hard glass base and the soft glass envelope is typical of Philips of this period - late 1940s.
The locating pip moulded into the glass removed the need for a metal skirt and locating spigot.
The four anode wings are at right angles to one another.
The thin glass tube envelope is 20 mm in diameter and, excluding the B8A base pins, is 74 mm tall.
