The EZ80 full wave rectifier is a general purpose full wave rectifier most commonly found in domestic equipment such as radio sets.
Operation: 90 mA maximum current and with a required series resistance of 300 ohms to reduce the initial surge in charging the maximum 50 µF reservoir capacitor, each anode would conduct in turn when connected to either end of a grounded centre tapped mains transformer.
The Marconiphone label. This is a consumer brand and the valve was made by M-OV.
The two identical anodes are stacked vertically on the common anode. One is inverted and they are located at right angles to one another for maximum radiation efficiency.
The thin glass tube envelope is 21 mm in diameter and, excluding the B9A base pins, is 58 mm tall.
